From the Post Commander

Greetings Owatonna American Legion Family,

 

Minnesota Legion Commander Linda Dvorak will be at the Post meeting on April 7th.. Please come and help us welcome Commander Dvorak.  Italian Beef will be served at 6:00 PM and the cost will be $12.00.

 

If you know of Veterans who haven’t joined the Legion please encourage them to join!

 

Chow time/Post/Auxiliary Meeting

Upcoming meetings will be March 3rd and April 7th . A meal will be served in the basement at 6:00 PM for $5 per person for the March 3rd meeting.  Post/Auxiliary meetings start at 6:45 PM.  All are welcome to join us for the meal.     

 

Legion Family Dinners (Stag)

Dinners are March 17th, Tatertot hotdish and dessert cookoff. We need volunteers to bring their best hotdish and dessert.  April 7th, Italian Beef at 6:00 PM.  Social time starts at 5:30 PM. All Legion, Auxiliary, SAL members and adult guests are welcome to attend.  $12.00 per person.

Bring your military unit patch for our patch collection and receive $1.00

off a beverage of your choice.  Right now Army leads the Air Force in patchers!  

 

Grandfathers Club

April 23RD, sign up at the bar by April 17th.

Show up at a Post meeting for a chance to win a $50 drawing.  Recent winners Marv Erdman and Dan Brewster.

SAL Golf Tournament returning this spring, watch for updates!!!  SAL donations: Legionville Disabled Veterans Deer Hunt $2000, Huskies Food Pant $500, Steele County Food Shelf $500, Legionville Safety Camp sponsor two kids $1100, Knights of Columbus Flag retirement $500.

Auxiliary News

Greetings Auxiliary members! 

The Auxiliary has only a few raffle tickets left to sell. Be sure to get your tickets before the March 1st drawing at the Legion! Drawing will be held right before the start of Music Trivia at 2 PM. 

Thank you everyone that helped sell meat raffle tickets during the month of January. Proceeds go towards Auxiliary programs and donations to the families and veterans in our community. 

 

Election of Officers will be during our April meeting. If you are interested, please reach out to President Sarah for more information or to answer any questions. We would love to have you all at our meetings!
